Please review the registration requirements and deadlines for the 2026 NERLEEA Cadet Police Academy. All posts/agencies, advisors, and parents/guardians must follow these instructions to avoid delays, late fees, or disqualification.

Late Registrations
Any post/agency that misses a deadline will be charged a $500 one-time administrative fee.
Refund Policy
Once a cadet or advisor completes registration on the first day of the academy, no refunds will be issued for any reason.

  • Complete the Post/Agency online registration by June 20, 2026
  • Submit payment (check, purchase order, or credit card) by July 5, 2026
  • Mail payment only (do not mail paperwork)

Parent / Guardian Responsibilities (Cadet Registration)

Parents/guardians must complete the online cadet registration, including all medical forms, by June 12, 2026. This is required for registration review and medical clearance.

Important
Advisors are not permitted to complete cadet registration. This process requires electronic signatures from a parent/guardian. Completing it on their behalf is illegal, immoral, and unethical. Advisors may assist families with technology if needed.

Individual Advisor Attending the Academy

Each advisor attending the academy must complete online registration by June 12, 2026. All medical forms must be submitted online for clearance.

Background Check Notice
Massachusetts law requires background checks for all adult staff, including sworn officers. The advisor registration form collects the information needed to meet this requirement.

Advisor Attendance Requirement

The Director’s letter explains how many advisors each agency must send to meet supervision requirements.

THIS CAMP MUST COMPLY WITH REGULATION OF MDPH & BE LICENSED BY LBHO

PARENTS HAVE THE RIGHT TO REVIEW BACKGROUND CHECK, HEALTH CARE, DISCIPLINE POLICIES, AND GRIEVANCE PROCEDURES UPON REQUEST.
