JOHN VISONE MEMORIAL STATIONS DAY

The Police Cadet Stations Day, known as NERLEEA, is a competition that takes place annually, providing police cadets with a platform to display their expertise and proficiency in law enforcement. This one-day event was founded in 1992 and has now become a major police cadet event in the region, where participants are evaluated based on 24 randomly selected law enforcement challenges and four individual skill events.

On average, 400 youth members from Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York, along with 100 staff members, participate in the event. Winners are recognized in each category, and the Best Overall Post award is presented to the post that performs exceptionally well. Sergeant Jeffrey Foss-Rugan from the Rocky Hill Police Department supervises the Police Cadet Stations Day, which is held on the first Saturday of May every year.
