We have some exciting news to announce!!Our program has recently partnered with North East Regional Law Enforcement Educational Association (Nerleea) – an organization based out of Connecticut. Their mission is to provide the highest quality education and experiences to youths (Cadets) interested in the field of Law Enforcement, to provide and develop resources for the Advisors that mentor the Cadets and practice the highest levels of professionalism.So what does this mean for our program?
A name change – Our program will be changing its name to Saratoga County Sheriffs Office Cadet Post #37
Youth in our program will now be Cadets
A new logo!! Thanks to a friend we were able to design our new logo that incorporates NERLEEA’s logo as well as our post logo!
Cadet age – this has now changed to allow us to accept youth as young as 13 years of age, which is super exciting for us because it allows for a wide range of ages to continue to grow our program!!
Training and events!!! For both Cadets AND Advisors! As an organization, NERLEEA is committed to grow and improve. Additionally, they seek out partnerships with other organizations to help achieve these objectives. The development of new training, events, and programs are crucial to the improvement of the association. We are preparing the next generation of future leaders. Events also include Cadet Police Academy, cadet and advisor leadership training, practical skills days, and a tactical challenge.
Networking for both Cadets and Advisors!
This is just a small list of all of the great things ahead for our program. The Advisors are very happy to be on board with NERLEEA and truly look forward to bringing our Cadets some great, new & exciting, resources!! Don’t worry, you’ll still see us out and about at various community events so keep an eye out for our very large group of Cadets assisting where they can!!
